New Year, A Fresh Start

A new year means a new beginning. Often times we begin the new year reflecting on the year or years past, while anticipating new things for the future. This is a great time to self-reflect and to re-center yourself on your goals. Each day is a new day to make a step in the right direction.

I have had the opportunity over the past few months to do some reflecting. I have acknowledged things that have worked well in life and lessons I should have learned from. Make no mistakes, I do not regret the not-so-proud moments of my life, but I am thankful to have learned from my experiences.

I encourage you to take some time to think about where you see yourself in the future. Think about the big picture of where you see yourself in a year, or maybe even 5 years. Then, break that big goal in to small chunks that are realistic and achievable. Be certain to remember to challenge yourself and push yourself past your comfort zone.

I am a lover of journals and notebooks of all kinds. If paper and pencil is your thing, grab it and begin to take the time to reflect. If you are a lover of technology, grab that computer, tablet, or other electronic device and begin your time of reflection.

Vision boards are a great start! Vision boards allow you to have a visual representation of your goals. If you have it posted for view daily, it can be the reminder to keep you and your goals at the forefront and not allow life’s responsibilities to delay your goals.

Stay tuned for in-depth ways to have a fresh start in the new year!

The time is now for your fresh start.

  1. I forgot which one of the Stoics said this, but a life unmeasured is one that’s not lived, or something to that regard. I love notebooks and stationery too! And by the way, Happy New Year and here’s to crushing 2022!

  2. Self-reflection is so important! I will take your advice and start journaling. It’s amazing the things we begin then get redirected from. Here’s to the year of reflection and redirecting! Happy New Year!
